Story
Chris and I have been given an amazing opportunity to take on the Three Peaks Challenge in July for an incredible local charity CCP; County Community Projects. The Three Peaks are Snowdon in Wales (1085m), Scafell Pike in England (978m) and Ben Nevis in Scotland (1344m) - we will be trekking each peak to the summit in that order, with a 1050 mile round trip across the country to get to each peak and back to Cheltenham!
For both of us, this is going to be a physical challenge, trekking up and down each peak, coupled with a lack of sleep travelling from one to the next. This also presents us with a greatly anticipated fundraising challenge to try and raise £500 for CCP.
CCP are a Gloucestershire based charity who improve the lives of children, young people, families and vulnerable adults who have multiple and complex needs. Their ultimate goal is to create a society in which everyone can realise their aspirations and reach their full potential, regardless of the life into which they were born.
Your donation will go towards a vast number of initiatives CCP run to help vulnerable people. This includes:
- Providing help to homeless young people so they can achievable sustainable independent living
- Providing food parcels to those living on the edge of poverty
- Family support and mediation, for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults when they are facing a crisis and have nobody else to turn to....
and much much more.
Thanks for reading, and thank you in advance for your support! We really appreciate it.
