Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A group of 'bikers are planning a trip to the Furka Pass in the Swiss Alps from 22nd June - 30th June. Taking in a trip to Parma, Italy to meet the BMW Motorrad Club Parma, who are also supporters of Alice's Escapes, returning via Brig and the Simplon Pass.
As this is quite a challenging ride, I'd like to take this opportunity to raise some much needed funds for Alice's Escapes.
Alice inspired thousands of people in the UK and around the World with her bucket List but also her grit, courage and determination.
Alice also inspired thousands of people to join the Anthony Nolan appeal to join the bone marrow register.
The total trip will be in the region of 2100 miles and we would like to raise £2100 for Alice's Escapes.
So please dig deep and donate now.

We're back!
Fantastic run down to Parma and spoiled rotten by our friends Roxella & Robinu & BMW Motorrad Parma.
Grimsel Pass was completely covered by cloud & snow and we couldn’t see our hands in front of our faces, run down to the Furka Pass was much more fun in brilliant sunshine and dry roads. Stopped off to see the Glacier and Ice Palace, then ascended the Furka into more cloud & rain and just missed running over a boulder that decided to run across the road (a Marmot sunbathing in the middle of the road). St Gotthard Pass was also a breeze in warm dry conditions with a lovely run down to Faido where the temperature was 28°C (temperature at the summit of the Grimsel -2°C, quite a difference in half a day!).
En-route back from Parma we ascended the Col de L’iseran which is the highest road pass in Europe at 2770m. Conditions were very challenging with wet roads, low cloud, Snow and gale force winds. I also managed to bin the ‘bike on the decent when hitting gravel at the side of the road and limped into Aime to repair a broken gear lever amongst other less problematical damage.
Great adventure, quite challenging in parts but I’m quite sure a certain Angel was on my shoulder for the whole journey.
Update 18th December 2013
Our great sadness at the passing of Robinu IBonis who we met in Parma and who was a fellow supporter of Alice's Escapes....ride high my friend.
