Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Not content with completing the National Three Peaks Challenge a couple of years ago in under 24 hours, we've now decided to seek out other gruelling peaks to climb and are going to attempt the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this year on Saturday 13th August. We will aim to climb Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough over the course of a day, amounting to 24.5 miles of continuous walking.

We will once again be raising money for the Eric Twiname Trust; of which our father, Bruce Aitken, is a trustee. The Trust was established after Eric's untimely death in 1980 and aims to continue his sailing legacy, particularly his teaching and coaching of young dinghy sailors, with an emphasis on competitive youth racing. The Trust seeks to ensure that as many young people as possible benefit from its grants, by assisting clubs to purchase training boats or helping organise an event, to encourage and enable young people to participate in sailing. For further information, please visit: http://www.erictwinametrust.org.

Thank you for your support towards the much-loved Eric Twiname Trust, we will let keep you posted on how the challenge goes...
