Story
WE DID IT - THE WHOLE 280 MILES! It felt like such an amazing achievement when we arrived at Westminster with our parents holding up banners and cheering us in - thankfully managing to avoid too many injuries! We will always have very fond memories of Jake and the happy times we all spent together - He was always the first to put a smile on everyone's face. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to raise money in his memory and for such an incredible cause. I am so grateful to everyone who has so kindly donated to the CWMT and have raised more money than I ever dreamed of doing!! I just thought i'd take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to everyone involved and for all the continued support and encouragement we have been given. Having everyone behind us really made all the difference, so thank you :)
THE STORY:
My friends Ben, Gilly and I really wanted to do something memorable which we would also see as a great achievement at the end. We decided to do this cycle ride from York to London which is about 250 miles during the summer holidays.
During the process of us planning all the details for our bike ride, very sadly one of our great friends Jake, took his life at the beginning of this year. Therefore, knowing his love for sports and the outdoors, we decided to dedicate our bike ride in his memory.
Any donations at all would be greatly appreciated by the three of us and all of Jake's friends and family. The Charlie Waller memorial Trust is a charity which campaigns to make schools and universities aware of the signs of depression, especially when it comes to the stress of exams and in particular focus' predominantly on boys.
Thank you so much for everyones support and encouragement x
