Story
Hi, we’re Eunice Kratky (EK) and Guy Butcher (GB) Our crazy plan is to drive the 1930’s Austin Seven; that we rebuilt over the last 18 months; from New York to Alaska before turning south to Tierra del Fuego. The total distance is expected to be about 25,000 miles or 40,000 kilometres.2012 is the 90 Anniversary of the first Austin 7.
Through this adventure we wish to raise funds to help children & young people with special or additional needs and their families. Charities are identified on’ Just Giving’. We have set up bespk.com (Bringing Extra to SPecial Kids) – a non profit organisation. The target is to raise £1 million pounds. All personal costs will be funded by ourselves.
The car is a 1938/28 Austin Seven which has been completely rebuilt and specially prepared for the adventure, with the help and advice from many. The car was chosen for its remarkable abilities and the ready availability of spares. It has the advantage of being both small and light but is capable of travelling anywhere.
