Story
Between Thursday 4th and Saturday 6th August 2016, me and my good pal, Steve, are going to attempt to walk the South Downs Way in it's entirety. 100 miles in total.
I quite like walking and I do like a challenge.
The closer we get to departure (and the more walkers I talk to), the more I feel that this is actually going to be quite a bit challenging. But that's okay, I do like a challenge. Or at least I think I do. On Steve's advise, I have invested in some fairly decent boots.
Who knows what'll happen; it's pretty far, but it's not Everest, right?
Steve is a lot more prepared than I. He's got all sorts of lightweight, freeze-dried, storm proof provisions to keep us plodding forward.
As well as testing my increasingly creaking knees, I am hoping to raise a little cash for the charity I work for, Carousel.
Carousel is an arts organisation in Brighton who work with learning disabled artists. I consider myself immensely lucky to work with some exceptionally talented artists and it would fantastic to raise some well needed dosh to help Carousel to continue to support their progress.
