For some bizarre reason, I’ve let myself be persuaded to
dust the cobwebs off my boots and take part in this race, having last had a race ride some 12 years ago…..I must be mad.

It has to be said that I’m struggling to get race fit, but
I’m dragging myself out of bed earlier than normal to go for a run each
morning, with my faithful terriers Picnic and Gadget keeping me company – faithful….unless it’s raining or they see a bunny – then I’m on my own! 

Joking aside, the Pelican Charity raises money for a cause
which is particularly close to my heart, and I’m more than happy to support them and take part in memory of Christian Marner, and my great friend and old boss, John Hills – both of whom left us far too soon.

I know that everyone is inundated with sponsorship requests
for this and that, but if everyone could donate even just a small amount, I and the charity would be very grateful, and with your support, the Pelican Charity can continue the fantastic work they do in fighting Cancer below the belt.
