Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed almost three years ago with MS. Although I'd suspected for many years that I had this, more and more things started happening that prompted doctors appointments. It was almost a relief to have the diagnosis as I felt a bit of a hypochondriac going to the doctors with lots of different ailments. Someone suggested the hyperbaric chamber, so I made a call and was put on the waiting list. After a little wait I received a call to start my initial 20 sessions in the tank! I met a group of lovely people all starting the same journey with me. We have a laugh, share stories and tips and it is a pleasure going to see them each week. The MS Therapy Centre Tayside is an inspiration, there are so many people in a more advanced stage than myself and the attitude by them is FAB! The support giving by the staff and volunteers is amazing and much needed. This charity receives no funding and relies on donations. Following the lead of one of my tank buddies Joe and with her support I decided to put up a just giving page since I had the walk arranged. This will be a challenge as we are walking 9 days and covering approx 160 kms, on a recent walk I struggled a bit towards the end, but hopefully the training will help with this, I am determined to finish the walk under my own steam.
If you can spare small amount for this valuable charity it would be appreciated Thank you.
