We support the homeless community of Hull to Improve and enrich their lives & futures

Story

Fitmum's and friends was once just a running club.  Last year they branched out into the world of cycling and completed a three day cycle ride from Hull to Oxford.  Technically speaking we are still a running club with the addition of a new cycling squad. We most certainly are not one of those cycling clubs that are fast or do we have the most expensive kit (although there have been a lot of bike upgrades this year). We're Fitmums and Friends. We are varying levels of fitness, we're not all mums, we're not all runners but we are all friends.

This year the cycle squad wanted to participate in another challenge and the cycle squad collectively chose to complete the 'Way of the Roses'. In a nut shell 24 cyclists of all shapes and sizes have been training hard and are getting ready for this monster challenge of cycling from Morcambe to Bridlington over three days in July, covering a distance of 170 miles. There will be lots of aching muscles, sore bottoms but a whole lot of laughter.

This challenge will be tough, there's no doubt about it but everyone will remain motivated and the driving force to help us to complete this challenge will be with the knowledge that every mile we cover will raise vital funds for the Hull Homeless Community Project (HHCP).

HHCP is a fantastic local project to assist the roofless community of Hull in reaching their full potential in regards finding shelter, advice, assistance with finances, mental and physical health and family support.
