Story
Hi All,
As you know being of the toned fit athletic type and always up for a challenge, this September myself and a few equally athletic friends have decided to take part in the 10 mile assault course called Tough Mudder. This event includes
- jumping into a pool full of ice
- running through electrically charged wires juiced with 10,000 volts
- climbing multiple trenches made of mud
See the following videos to check out the challenge we have signed up for

A difficult set of tasks for mere mortals but for 7 athletes like ourselves a walk in the park. Ok we are probably a little insane but as Neale Donald Walsch said “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”.
You will not be surprised by the dedication to the cause and our strict training regimes. Some members have been tricked into running up hills with the understanding that Kebabish has opened at the top, after all consumption of protein is essential for muscle growth. One member is using mental imagery to enhance his performance by walking around London in a sleeveless vest thinking he is Salman Khan. Another member has gone to Indonesia to run on sandy beaches and train in high altitude like a true professional. Our most dedicated member has been prepping for this event by being on the run from the police for the last two years and has lost 30kg in the process. One guy will hit Tough Mudder with no training, the results could be quite magnificent or absolutely disastrous.
As you can see we need all the support and help we can get (!) and hence to help us around on the day we have decided to also raise money for the charity Sightsavers. For those of you that don’t know, Sightsavers are a fantastic global charity that work in more than 30 countries to help eliminate avoidable blindness and support people with visual impairments to live independently.
So please dig deep, even whilst you laugh hysterically at our plight, every little helps towards this great charity.
