We offer free end of life care to the entire North Staffordshire area

Story

On Wednesday 17th August after 2 years of constant fighting, 6 months of chemotherapy and several operations my sister and best friend lost her battle against cancer.

During this time she was able to find sanctuary within the Dougie Mac ("Ducky Mac" as we shall fondly remember it as). Their support was simply amazing, never was anything too much trouble for them to do, even when searching for blankets and comfy chairs at 23:30 or even re-assembling the whole room as the Feng Shui did not meet Hatties refined tastes and the bed needed to face the window!!!!

They are a charity ran entirely on donations who specialise in end of life care and on going support to all cancer patients in the Staffordshire area. We know how much Harriet valued their help (especially at the end).

Please please please give whatever you can in her memory to ensure that the Ducky Mac can continue providing their caring and unending service to anyone else in need.

The whole Allchin & McDermid family would like to thank everyone for all the support Harriet received during her fight, we have been overwhelmed with messages of support since she passed away and we can not express how much comfort this has given us all.
