On October 2nd I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon. I have chosen to raise money for the very special Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre as they do an amazing job at giving unloved, forgotten about and abused animals a fresh new chance in life.
They receive no regular funding, therefore in order to keep the sanctuary up and running they rely entirely on public donations.

Freshfields Rescue Centre is very special to me and my family as they brought Walter into our pack (8 dogs in total)  Walter has made the biggest impact and we couldn't imagine life without him. Walter was one of four 8 week old puppies with hearing and eye problems which were rejected from a farm as they were not cut out to be sheepdogs - the farmer considered shooting or drowning the pups but luckily they dropped them at the rescue centre.

Like many dogs with special needs, these pups have gone on to lead healthy and happy lives in their forever homes. Without Freshfields help, taking them in initially, covering all the vet fees and their continuing support this wouldn't have been possible.
