Team Finish ForJohn will be at the 2016 Dublin Half Marathon with a group of runners and supporters taking part in the event! Our goal is to get as many people to cross the finish line, raise a bit of money and to have a great day of it.

Find Out More aboutThe Heart Appeal at the Mater Foundation:

The Mater Foundation is the official fundraising body of The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin. It exists to inspire and enable financial support from the community for exceptional patient care at The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

In February 2004 Heart House became a reality when we were honoured to have the former President of Ireland, Mary McAleese officially opened the newly renovated building, Heart House.  Located at53-54 Eccles Street, Heart House is currently operational with a CardiacPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Unit, a Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and more recently the Family Heart Screening Clinic.

The Mater Foundation, together with The MaterCardiac Team, has been raising funds for a Family Heart Screening Clinic for families who have lost loved ones to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome – a sudden cardiac death of an apparently fit and healthy young person.  This clinic provides a full screening facility for immediate family members of victims of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) and completes the final stage in their development of Heart House.  The clinic itself receives limited funding from the government and relies mainly on the generosity of fundraisers and donations.
