Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our son Finlay was diagnosed early 2015 (aged 13 months) with a form of kidney cancer known as a Wilms tumour, and was subsequently admitted to Ward 2 (Oncology) at the Edinburgh Sick Kids hospital.
Until this point I didn't even know where the Sick Kids hospital was let alone the incredible work that they do on a daily, if not hourly basis. The treatment, care and love that Finlay has been given throughout his treatment of this dreadful disease has been incredible.
Looking to turn a negative into a positive, Anna and I would like to do as much as we possibly can to raise money for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation Fund as a way of saying thank you to everyone who has been involved in Finlay's treatment. The Foundation help pay for things that aren't funded by the NHS that make all the difference through troubling times. Things like the Clown Doctors would always perk Finlay up no matter how ill he was and the facilities in PJ's loft gave Anna and I some respite in the evenings once Finlay was sleeping.
A lot of our friends and families have shown an interest in helping Anna and I raise money so we have created this page not only for ourselves but for anyone that knows us and would like to get involved to help us reach our fundraising target for the Foundation.
