Story
Dear all
As many of you are aware my wife and I lost our son Finn to cot death in 2007; he was 3 months old. As a consequence we set about to see if we could make a difference to other parents by raising money for the Lullaby Trust who research into cot death and its cause. Many challenges have been taken to raise money for the charity including cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats, running the marathon in 2012 and 2013, running a number of half marathons with colleagues and friends, cycling through the night from London to Brighton, in addition to less body breaking fund raising methods including holding a charity barn auction, holding pub quizzes, and through donations at family anniversaries. We have so far managed to raise £85,073. Our target is to reach £100,000 following which I think it will be time to stop the body wrecking challenges and think of some less strenuous ways to improve on the total. Myself, and friends Martin Roberts and Mark Jewell are therefore running this years London marathon with the aim being to reach that target. We will only get there with your help therefore for those who have sponsored in Finn's memory before please do so one more time, and for those who have not had the opportunity to do so please do so now. It would be a magnificent achievement to reach our goal and with your help I am sure that we have every chance of making it.
Many, many thanks
Paul
