Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, back in July last year I was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. My outlook was grim to put it mildly, and I was given six months to live. Well to cut a long story short, here I am having had intensive chemotherapy which amazingly shrunk the tumour beyond recognition, so much so that it meant that I was able to undergo surgery. At the end of November I was successfully operated on. Since then I have been slowly and steadily recuperating at home and am strong enough to cope with what is hopefully the final leg of my chemotherapy.
The journey I have been through over the last few months since my diagnosis has been incredible to say the least. I could not have coped with what I have gone through without the tremendous support given to me by friends, family, work colleagues and associates, every one has been so very, very kind. The hospital care I have received from everyone up at ARI has been second to none, without them I would not be here to take part in Courage on the Catwalk. From the oncology and surgical teams to the dedicated nurses in the High Dependancy Unit to the team of nurses in the Anchor Unit, each and every one has been there for me and I can't thank them enough for their dedication. Everyone has been wonderful.
