Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am abseiling down Gorey Castle, (which is where Mike & I got married) with 21 brave others, because an inspirational young woman, Grace Allan, (20) asked me to! Grace established the 'Love in Action - Challenge a Month, in memory of her mum, Wilma, who was also our dear friend and colleague at the JCCT and who passed away earlier this year with cancer. What Grace has done over the past few months is nothing short of amazing and although my heart skips a beat (with fear!) every time I contemplate climbing over the top of the castle wall to begin my abseil on Saturday 4th October, I WILL DO IT! I just won't look down ... at all!!!
Most of you, as my friends and family, will know that the work of the JCCT is dear to my heart. Particularly because we regularly hear amazing stories from families about how the JCCT's work makes such a difference to their lives. The funds that I hope can be raised, with your generous support, will go entirely towards the Special Needs Inclusion Project. This Project enables all children, regardless of their special needs, to attend mainstream nurseries in Jersey.
Thank you so much for your support. Fiona. xxx

I DID IT!!! Thank you to everyone who is supporting me with this challenge. Your donations are so generous and mean a lot, not only to the work of the JCCT, but to me knowing that you were with me supporting my abseil. It was an amazing morning with every single person completing their descent with amazing grace and determination. We are collectively raising thousands for the JCCT through this event and everyone was so full of energy and positiveness ... even when the heavens literally opened and we got drenched, right through! The best bit was probably when Claire Blair opened her picnic hamper and began pouring champagne into plastic champagne flutes and distributing them with Tyrrol's crisps, filtered coffee and biscuits! Brilliant!!! xxx
