Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I knew Neil Vines through my best friend Sarah and his story still astonishes me. Please visit www.neilvines.com for his full story, but to give you an idea, he battled brain cancer for three years, taught himself to walk again and raised thousands of pounds to try and help other people like him, all while still undergoing treatment.
Not only did he complete the equivalent of the three peaks on a stepper machine whilst undergoing chemotherapy (our inspiration), he also cycled the equivalent of John O'Groats to Lands End on a static bike.
There are few people I know that haven't been affected in some way by cancer, and I know that this brilliant charity will make a huge difference. Neil and his family shared many happy weekends together during his treatment, and those where a charity was able to help out made them extra special.
Tragically Neil is no longer with us, but it doesn't stop him being a huge inspiration to his family, his friends and anyone else who heard his story and I really hope that you are able to help me to support his charity to continue to help others.
