In March I am travelling to Norway, to the northernmost town in the world, to sled 200km across the Arctic Circle!!! As a team we will travel for 5 days with a sled each led by a team of 4 huskies, over frozen lakes and through deep forest. This is all in aid of a fantastic charity called Make-A-Wish.

 

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of thousands of children and young people who are fighting life-threatening illnesses. This incredible charity has granted over 7000 wishes in the 25 years it has been operating and is growing year by year. Next year they hope to make more than 1000 wishes come true. Any donation from you, however small, can make a huge difference to these children, many of whom have spent the majority of their short lives in and out of hospital, unable to experience many of the things we take for granted.

 

Over £1600 will go directly to Make-A-Wish. I want people to be aware that the full fundraising amount includes all my expenses but I will be contributing as much as I can to the amount from my own pocket and that the costs associated with setting up fundraising events will also come from my own pocket not the amount raised. Just think if you didn't take the time to donate a little something and help send me to Norway would you donate to Make-A-Wish anyway?
