Story
April and May this year will mark one year since two devastating earthquakes hit Nepal. Since then INF, working alongside partner organisations have helped to bring relief to those affected, and have worked towards the rebuilding of damaged areas. Their latest project is to rebuild a destroyed health-post in a village called Amppipal, in the Gorkha District of Nepal.
I visited this village in February, seeing the site that will be used for the new health-post, and meeting some of the local people who would benefit from it. Currently they are using a tent as a temporary solution, it’s small and dark, but worse still, it doesn’t have the right equipment.
The new health-post would allow quality healthcare to be given to the people of Amppipal. One of the most important improvements will be a birthing centre built as part of the new building. This will help ensure safer, cleaner conditions available locally for pregnant mothers to come and have check-ups and delivery of their new babies.
INF are seeking to raise a total of £38,000 to build it. With your help I’d like to be able to give £600 towards the cost of this.
