Booktrust is a national charity that changes lives through reading. They aim to reach every child in the UK who needs support with reading, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable children.

Alison was Chair of the Booktrust Board of Trustees from 2005 to 2007 and she was always very generous in her support for the charity.
