We are pleased to announce the Funds Industry Football Charity Shield 2016 will take place on Thursday 23^rd June.

Calastone has hosted this tournament each year since 2011,to date raising over £60,000 for our selected Charities. The Charity Shield is a 5-a-side tournament and is open to all members of the UK Fund Management Industry. Companies wishing to enter a team (or teams) are required to pay a minimum donation of £500 to our chosen beneficiary charity. This year we are supporting the Make A Wish Foundation.

“Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people (aged3-17) fighting life-threatening conditions.

A wish can be anything from being a princess for the day, to meeting a hero or going on a once in a lifetime family holiday. It gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious medical condition.

A wish can be a light in dark days. The wish children are often going through, or have been going through, gruelling treatments and sometimes several operations.They have often spent days, weeks or even months in hospital separated from their families, friends and homes. A wish provides time away with their family,giving them precious memories that will last forever – whatever the future may hold.

Since1986, Make-A-Wish has turned more than 10,000 wishes into magical realities,but there are over 20,000 children in the UK living with a life-threatening condition and we believe that each of these children deserves to experience their one true wish.”
