Story
Dear All,
As a tribute to GMac, Helen and the family would welcome donations to Charlton Athletic Community Trust.
GMac loved football and his beloved Charlton Athletic. He encouraged and coached kids to play the beautiful game. He helped to establish the football club Roehampton Rangers FC as a community for local kids to learn and play. He established bursaries to help families unable to pay for their kids to play and train for the club. He was that sort of bloke who spent time thinking about others and helping the disadvantaged in society.
Using the power of football, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) works in partnership with local communities to empower individuals to improve their lives and their environment. CACT also encourages and supports the disadvantaged in society. They too have established a bursary to channel funds directly to where it can make a real impact. For example, kids who would like to develop their coaching qualifications, but can't afford to pay the FA fees, CACT will help out. Kids who want to attend courses but don't have money to pay for the basic essentials of boots and kit, CACT will help out.
The aims and spirt of CACT mirrors that of GMac; am sure he would be touched that money placed on his behalf will go towards helping disadvantaged kids get the the same level of enjoyment he has had from the beautiful game.
Up The Addicks.
