We provide support and education to people affected by acquired brain injury

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October 2015 I suffered a concussion whilst running the Cardiff Half marathon and don't remember finishing the race.  I suffered from memory loss, a foggy head, blurred vision and balance problems.  I was fortunate that my symptoms recovered and within 8 weeks, I was back to normal.  This was the most scariest time for me, and I no longer take for granted normal things like reading a book and thinking clearly.  Please don't make the same mistake as me, if you are feeling poorly in the run up to a race, take it steady and don't push yourself.

I have chosen to run  for Headway as they are a fantastic small charity that supports the local community and enables people with head injuries to start to move forward with their lives.  Please give generously to enable them to continue to keep their doors open and continue to support people that need assistance in adapting to life after a brain injury.
