I volunteered with my daughter on the Book Bus in Zambia in 2012 and it changed our lives. We worked with children that have few books yet their insatiable desire to learn left a lasting impression on us both. For 10 years the Book Bus has brought engaging & quality books to children that have none. We spent 3 weeks reading with children, sharing stories, making arts and crafts to help bring books alive. It was great fun.   The Book Bus needs resources to carry on this work.  They build libraries, stock reading corners & employ local teams to spread the joy of reading in their communities. I live in Yorkshire, love walking and love books  so decided to support the Book Bus by combining the things I love to do. 

I'm walking for 20 days in April 2016 across West Yorkshire  visiting schools, Euerka, the Pageturners festival and local bookshops. 

The money will be used to continue the work of the Book Bus in Ecuador, Malawi and Ecuador.
