Thanks for visiting my page. I'm participating in this challenge to raise awareness for Alive & Kicking (A&K), a charity close to my heart. A&K is a social enterprise employing 130 people who hand-stitch around 75 000 balls each year across 3 sites in Africa, making them the largest producer of soccer balls on the Continent. Through donations and sponsorship, these balls are for the most part given to under privileged youngsters, many of whom have never had access to a real soccer ball. These balls are tough and are designed to withstand the harsh African conditions. A&K use the balls to raise awareness around health, including Malaria & HIV/AIDS.
