Story

Through luck, chance and opportunities I have been fortunate to create a successful career and I appreciate the part education has played in this. As an older learner I've had the good luck to be able to participate in higher education and I'm enjoying every minute of it, except at 23.30 on a Monday night, and it has changed the way I look at life.  Access to distance learning courses is one of the few opportunities that allow people in custody to build confidence, self-worth and to create an identity other than just being a prisoner.  Prisoners Education Trust provides the course material to allow people in custody to access higher level learning and an opportunity for a brighter future. Please take the time to read the Prisoners Education Trust website, there are some inspirational stories, then you will understand why I’m fund raising.
