Abaana is aiming to lockup 20 people with each person raising £1,000 in bail in order to reach the target of £20,000 to build a new nursery school in Uganda.
According to the UN there are 93 million children around the world that do not have access to education. 80% of these children are in Sub-Saharan Africa, in countries like Uganda.
Abaana is working with 12 primary schools with the aim of providing education to over 4,000 children.
Education is widely seen as one of the main tools to give Ugandan children the ability to break free from the poverty trap and ultimately save lives.
The lock up will be raising money so that Abaana can replace the existing nursery with a brand new building.
