We aim to improve lung transplantation to make it more accessible

Story

Warren Cummings passed away aged just 31 in 2014. He had Cystic Fibrosis and was on the waiting list for assessment for a double lung transplant. The waiting time is typically 12 to 15 months. Almost half of those with Cystic Fibrosis die whilst on the waiting list. After Warren's death his family and friends established the charity Warren’s Wish, with the aim of making more lungs available for transplantation.

Warren worked as a Gas Engineer for Scottish Gas in Edinburgh. For most of the runners Warren was our colleague and friend. He was well liked by all who knew him and was determined not to let his condition stop him from living life to the fullest.

Over the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on the 28th & 29th May 2016 we will be running for Warren. We have all signed up for runs, from 5K to the Full Marathon, to raise as much money as we can!

We really appreciate anything you can donate, thank you for your support.
