Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
Please support me in my efforts to raise £10,000 for
children living in poverty in Uganda.
On the 27th May 2016, I will be cycling 120 kms.,
75 miles, on Ugandan dirt roads.
75 miles in 1 day will be tough for me, but with your
support helping, I know I will have great fun along the way.
I have been a passionate supporter of kids in Uganda for
many years, ever since our eldest son, Seb, went to live there 8 years ago.
As a family we had the privilege of visiting a Compassion
project, and other schools, in Uganda in 2014. We were welcomed into family’s homes there, and saw the desperate needs. For example we purchased a single mattress for £9 for one family who had not enough beds.
The joy on their faces as we gave them the mattress is a moment I will never forget.
Please be alongside in me in bringing more joy to more
families.
All of the money I raise will go to help the children - I am paying all flight and other costs myself.
Join me in helping to see poverty eradicated in our
lifetime.
Thank you.
You may want to support by sponsoring a child. For every
child sponsored, £1,000 goes towards my target. This will be a life changing
result for the child, and for you, as you both become part of new families
together. www.compassionuk.org/geoffcyclesuganda
Or may choose to donate money, and in this way too, you will
be helping young lives to be changed for good. The Compassion projects will
ensure that every donation is used to bring sustainable support to children and
their families
I will be part of a group of around 300 men and women who
will run, cycle or trek on May 27th in Uganda, to change a life, a
family, the world.
