The Georgia Williams Diving Scholarship is an opportunity for one young
person within the Borough of Telford & Wrekin to pursue an interest in the
underwater World, and in turn to enable other young people to have access to
scuba diving activities.
The annual Scholarship is jointly funded by The Georgia Williams Trust and
Immerse School of Diving. The Georgia Williams Diving Scholarship is also
supported by Otter Watersports and Monty Halls.
The Georgia Williams Diving Scholar learns to become a fully qualified
scuba diver and trains to attain PADI (Junior) Master Scuba Diver rating, the
highest non-professional scuba diving qualification with the World’s most
recognised and respected diving agency, with Immerse School of Diving in
Telford.
The Scholar takes and ambassadorial role for The Georgia Williams Trust,
and is expected to lead fundraising activities to raise a minimum of £250 for
the Trust either before or during the course of the Scholarship year through
this JustGiving page. Therefore, each year our target increases by £250.
Well done to the 2014 Scholar, Lois Adams, on reaching her target. Tom
Edwards, the 2015 Scholar now picks up the gauntlet for 2015/16.
By donating, you support the Scholar in these activities and further the
availability of the Scholarship in future years.
