Less than a week ago my 1 year old daughter Ophelia was a normal baby playing with her toys, eating her meals, enjoying trips out just like any other baby would. She had a cough and a cold here and there, was picky with her food now and then again just like any other 1 year old. Today she is recovering from her second and hopefully her last heart surgery following the diagnosis of bacterial endocarditis of the mitral valve. My world is in pieces but the LGI heart surgeons are picking them back up. I am helpless, everything is out of my control but I can help the Children's Heart Surgery Fund. Give a pound give anything you can, a few days ago I was sat where you are, at home, comfortable, relaxed, with my child upstairs asleep. I am now sat in intensive care hoping she WILL wake up.
