Story
LAM is a horrible, cruel disease. A rogue cell proliferates and primarily invades the lungs, rendering them useless through time. It almost always affects women of child-bearing age. It is also incredibly rare.
I was unlucky to be one of these women, but lucky enough to have received a life-saving lung transplant in 2004. I'm the former chair and on the committee of LAM Action, the charity which supports patients with the disease and funds research (including drug trials) into the disease. It's obviously a cause in which I have huge belief.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many many thanks,
Gill
