In 2008 Gillian took part in Turtle Song, from the pictures and YouTube clip you can see that she really enjoyed herself - she had a good old sing-a-long and shared many smiles and laughs.

Turtle Song, FREE to all participants, is a Turtle Key Arts, English Touring Opera and Royal College of Music partnership, now in its seventh year. It brings music, movement and singing to people with Alzheimer's and all forms of dementia and their carers. Over the course of the project the participants write the lyrics and compose the music for their own song cycle. The piece is then performed and recorded to be shared with friends.

Turtle Key Arts have held "Turtle Songs" in London, Dulwich, Cambridge, Suffolk, Reading and Wolverhampton.
