Our GiveADinner appeal raises money for us to make Christmas a special time for the people we support, throughout Hampshire.

We accommodate many people throughout Hampshire and we would like to provide everyone in our supported accommodation with a Christmas Roast, with all the trimmings, and we would also like to be able to buy everyone a gift.  

We will then be able to put any money raised over and above that into supporting people we work with out in the local communities, over the festive season and into the New Year; especially those with little or no support network, who will be more vulnerable during the Christmas period.

Every penny donated will make a difference to a local person facing homelessness.

John, who has been supported by our homelessness services said;

"I’m not a Christmas lover. It just reminds me of the things I ain’t got. It’s a time for families, so I get a bit upset."

It’s for people like John that we believe in offering the chance to have a happy Christmas and feel the same warmth and friendship that many other people enjoy during the festive season. This year we would like to raise Christmas dinners (£10), and as many Christmas gifts (£10) as we can – which is why we are running our Give a Dinner Christmas Dinner Appeal. 

Paul, who manages our Southampton Street Hostel, says;

"We invite people back who have moved on successfully into their own independent accommodation but who would still be by themselves on Christmas Day – last year we had almost 40 people!"
