My Son Glen was killed by a hit and run driver while on the third day of his holiday with his friend. The lads had been out sightseeing, whilst on the way back to the hotel, a lorry pulled out missing my sons friend, but Glen was killed.

The driver did not care about Glen, he just pulled his scooter from underneath his lorry , walked pass Glen while he was dying in the road, the driver got back in his lorry and drove off.

It took my family 4 1/2  years to get this driver to court, where  he received 23 months, the shop keeper was prosecuted for perjury, both had their voting rights taken away from them for a year. which to us is nothing. The driver was not put into jail, according to Greek Law, he was able to pay the court to stay out of prison.

The death of our son has left my family destroyed, feel like our world has fallen apart, feel that my son has life taken away from him, when he had his whole life a head of him.

We will never be able to see him get married, have children, Glens fiancé has been denied her soul mate, Glens brother and sister, and neice have been denied their brother, their best friend, and my granddaughter her uncle.

our life will never be the same without Glen, but there is not a day or minute of the day where he is not thought of.

Without Samm Abroad, I don't know where we would be, where I would be if I did not have other mothers to talk to, for my husband, other fathers.

Just when we thought a line had been drawn under Greece, we received an email to say we have to go back out there 10th June 2016, as the driver has appealed against his sentence two years on, as if he hasn't caused us enough pain for us to live with.

The fundraising night is a Casino Night, dress code Black and White.

tickets will be £5 per person,  we have a singer, raffles, nibbles.
