Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a condition which causes muscle weakness. It starts in childhood and may be noticed when a child has difficulty standing up, climbing or running. It is a genetic condition and can be inherited. It usually affects only boys, although girls may carry the Duchenne gene.

My brother had the Duchenne Gene and I cared for him from a young age, I kept him alive alongside my Mum until he passed at the age of 20. He was not just my brother but he was my best friend and my role model.

2015 is the year I start my fundraising, I shall be doing a set of runs and endurance courses throughout the years to give all that I can back to what is pretty much the biggest defining time of my childhood. I would be extremely appreciative if you could show your support to my cause by donating.

The First run is on March 22nd for the Reading Half Marathon, I shall be there in Zed Events sponsored clothing to promote a wonderful company that has given me friends for life.
