Story
I'm running my first Marathon this year and rather than make it about a personal achievement I've have chosen to raise money for a cause close to mine and my families hearts. The MS therapy centre in Leicester is a non profit organisation that help people with varying illness'.
A very close family friend of ours, Stuart Miskin has been diagnosed with an in-operable brain tumour (Ependymoma). Over the past few months 'Stu' has been visiting the centre for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and physiotherapy. He has told us how valuable it has been in helping him during his illness and how caring and supportive the staff and volunteers are.
Choosing this charity means that I get the opportunity to help a cause that has already helped 2 people close to me. As some of you may know my brother Craig also has MS and has used the centre. I'm sure he will use it more in the future and may benefit from their help.
I'm not asking for people to donate a lot, even a couple of pounds will make a difference. The centre runs on donations like this and raising some money for the centre will help them continue to treat lots of people like Stu and Craig that need their help in the future. There are very few places like this that offer these treatments which makes it even more important to help them continue.
I/we really appreciate anything that you can spare.
