Welbodi is a UK charity working to tackle child mortality in Sierra Leone, where 1 in 7 children dies before their 5th birthday.  RTC North is proud to have been supporting Welbodi since its inception more than five years ago.  Over that time it has championed and equipped the Ola During hospital which is the country's only children's hospital.

Now Welbodi wants to build on that fantastic achievement by establishing a Paediatric Training Unit so that its work can be truly sustainable.  Despite all that has been done one fact is holding back progress – Sierra Leone’s one million children have only two specialist paediatricians in government service and no facilities to train any more.

We want to help Welbodi start this training and begin a process that will dramatically transform health care in Sierra Leone and change the futures of thousands of children every year.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations RTC North aims to raise £10,000 for Welbodi's "Life After Five" Campaign.  Our target in setting up this Just Giving page  is to raise £1,500. Please help - all donations, no matter how small will make a difference.
