Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Ubuntu is an Africa word that translates as "I am because we are". It's one of our values at Alquity.
We also passionately believe at Alquity that everyone deserves the
opportunity to succeed regardless of where they are born which is why we donate a proportion of our revenues to world-class NGO's who operate development programs supporting the communities in the areas where we invest. In Northern Ghana we support Afrikids, an internationally award-winning organisation working to improve child rights and community development to alleviate child suffering and poverty.
The Ubuntu Challenge is a life-changing opportunity to spend a week living with a family who have received support from Afrikids and Alquity. In November 2016, I will be going to Bolgatanga in Northern Ghana to take part in the Ubuntu Challenge alongside a team from Generali who are long-time client of Alquity.
I am aiming to raise £1,000 by cycling, running, jogging, walking,
swimming and rowing (and any other suggestions you might have!) 1,000km over the next 100 days.
100% of this fundraising will go directly to Afrkids via the Alquity Foundation - helping them to support more families. The cost of participating in the challenge is being covered separately.
