Fundraising for Equation
Story
Hi Everyone,
In an effort to raise funds and awareness for the domestic abuse charity 'Equation', I will be completing a tandem sky dive on Sunday 4th September (not long, I know!). I could tell you this will be a big challenge for me, that I'm afraid of heights, and say that I really don't want to do this, but none if that is true... I can't wait! This is something that I've always wanted to do, and being given the opportunity to do this whilst raising money for a worthy cause seemed like the perfect time to give it a go.
I'm not one for pushing charity down people's throats, and understand that almost nobody is in the position to contribute to every charity request that comes their way, so you won't see that from me. Honestly, if you can help in any way shape or form, however big or small... I would really appreciate it.
A little bit about my nominated charity:
Based in Nottingham, Equation is a charity that promotes equal, healthy relationships free from domestic abuse.
1 in 4 women will be abused by a partner, ex or family member at some point in their lives and on average 2 women a week lose their lives because of domestic violence. Equation exists to prevent and reduce the harm caused by domestic abuse and sexual violence in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
Working in partnership, Equation empowers our whole community to challenge this abuse through healthy relationships education, awareness campaigns, professional training and promoting safety.
