Thank you to all of you for kindly donating to Help Musicians UK! And many thanks to all those who could come to see me perform, I hope you enjoyed the show!
Thanks to your generosity I surpassed my target of £500 so I’m now keen to raise the bar and set a new challenge of £1,000.
I hope you will support me, I promise there are more pictures of Lagavulina to come!
I became the Chair of Help Musicians UK (formerly known as the Musicians Benevolent Fund) in 2014. Music is something I am passionate about and Help Musicians UK is there to help musicians of all genres whenever they need it, throughout their career.
There are around 70,000 professional musicians in the UK. Help Musicians UK helps musicians establish themselves in the music business, get through a serious crisis, cope with long-term difficulties and enjoy retirement. They provide advice, guidance, financial and emotional support, and for many are a lifeline. For more information on Help Musicians UK please visit - www.helpmusicians.org.uk,
I am very honoured to be appearing with The Trocks on behalf of Help Musicians UK on the 23 and 24 September at the Peacock Theatre, London.
I am far too old to run a marathon for charity, so when the invitation came, thought I could do this instead!
Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (affectionately known as The Trocks) was founded in 1974 by a group of ballet enthusiasts for the purpose of presenting a playful, entertaining view of traditional, classical ballet in parody form.
Join my alter ego, Lagavulina Skotchroksova performing alongside The Trocks, for this once in a lifetime opportunity (or twice in case you are desperate to see me on both consecutive nights – which of course, you should!) to see me in a tutu.
