Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother in law Ron, devoted husband to Anne and loving father to Rebecca and Jonathan was sadly taken from us through an aggresive form of cancer that destroys many lives every day, Ron was a great guy who would help anyone no matter what time of the day or night it was, he put his family and others first in everything he did. Ron was born in Rotherham but later adopted by the scousers after he met my sister Anne and we've had to put up with his humour ever since.  He was treated at the Woodlands Charitable Trust Hospice who did a fantastic job in offering 24 hour care and support to Ron and his family. As a thank you we are trying to raise as much money for the Hospice to buy a 'tree of life' leaf brass plaque.  This will be in memory of Ron but the money will also help with the running of the hospice.

We are organising two events the first being a sponsored walk from Ron and Anne's home in Skelmersdale to the Hospice on Saturday the 2nd August. The second fundraiser will be a sponsored cycle ride again from Ron and Anne's home to the carousel in Southport and then onto the Hospice on the 10th August.
