Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Green family will pedal, paddle and power through 100 miles in a week starting on 4th July, to raise money for Sparkle and Open Arms in Malawi.
We are going to Malawi and Zambia for a family holiday and spending days at Sparkle and Open Arms volunteering.
Malawi is the poorest country in the world. Half the country live below the poverty line and 23% of child deaths are caused by malnutrition. Your donation is invaluable to the daily work the two charities carry out. A £7 donation is a mosquito net to protect against Malaria. £10 will feed a child for a month. £20 will pay for infant milk formula for a month.
Our family 100 mile challenge, will be roughly as follows:
Sunday: George, Rose and Florrie will take part in a fun run (1mile) Ben will race 10 km. Rose will swim 66 lengths (1 mile)
Monday: Sarah will run to work in Cambridge (16 miles)
Tuesday: Sarah, George, Rose and Florrie will walk to school (6 miles)
Wednesday: Rose will swim 66 lengths (1mile) George and Sarah will cycle 10 miles each.
Thursday: Ben will cycle to work and back in Cambridge (35 miles)
Friday: Sarah will run 6 miles
Pics and updates will follow all week!
