I frequently toss coins and notes at charity when I see a good cause. The one I can’t resist is Help the Heroes, they get my coins every time. http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

I came across one charity recently I thought was really worthwhile. Many people remember the name of the teenager who was stabbed to death when he was 16, just before he would have got his ‘Aced’ his GCSE results. His name was Ben Kinsella. This popular promising schoolboy left a mother, father, 3 sisters and Teddy his dog, to greive his loss. http://www.benkinsella.org.uk/

That work has already started with very positive results, but she needs more funding to open it out to those who can really be helped.

I don’t really have much of a facebook profile because of my work in the security industry. Sadly because of this work I can speak from experience of knives being carried and used regularly which is related to youths and gangs ending with the same consequences.

If Ben had only been beaten and not stabbed, he would most likely still be alive.

He was the seventeenth child to loose his life to a knife in 2008.

After Ben's death his sister, Brooke gave more energy and became more involved and successful in trying to prevent knife crime than I have accomplished in my largest work project. She has worked with the Prime Minister! She has conducted vast amounts of research that identified many of the roots of the problem and after extensive consultation she came up with a positive potential solution. Now she is trying to find the money to deliver it and make it work.
