As you may or may not know I have been involved in football all my life and have always wanted to do something for charity but never found the right time or place.

When I saw this trip advertised I thought this would be ideal as it gives me the opportunity to  carry out some charity  work in conjunction with kick4 life, a charity set up by 2 southampton fans.

Here is a little bit about kick4 life:

Kick4Life F.C. is a unique football club based in Lesotho in southern Africa. As a charity and a social enterprise, our mission is to change the lives and long-term prospects of vulnerable young people in Lesotho, through a wide range of social development activities focused on health, education and support towards sustainable livelihoods.

Whilst out there I will be delivering health education  to children in local schools,visiting orphanages,community projects and cultural sites and also playing a game of football against local teams in my saints kit.

The other thing that appealed to me is that this is not just a charity challenge but I will delivering life saving health education to hundreds of children.
