Will you help Gypsy play again?
Gypsy, a little Lurcher cross, came to us because she was being bullied by the other dogs in her previous home. But when she arrived at the Rescue Centre we noticed that there was something else seriously wrong.
Gypsy’s right shoulder kept dislocating which would cause her to stop using her leg altogether. This physical hindrance doesn’t stop Gypsy being a lovely dog who just wants to run and play, but her injury is too severe to go untreated.
An x-ray showed significant cartilage and socket damage and after a number of other tests, the veterinary surgeon determined that the ligaments have been too severely stretched to ever be able to hold her shoulder in place again.
We don’t know how it happened, but Gypsy’s tiny shoulder has just given up. We must act now before the injury gets even worse causing Gypsy to potentially loose her entire leg.
We urgently need to raise £2,000 for the surgery that could save Gypsy’s leg and allow her to play again.
It’s not going to be easy for Gypsy, the procedure involves fitting plates and screws to her small joint but once she’s fully recovered Gypsy will be able to run and chase the ball long into the future.
Will you help us give Gypsy the spirited future she so truly deserves?
