Story
Hi Everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to view our page dedicated to our late Grandad, Dad and dear Friend, Malcolm Roshier, who sadly passed away last October after a battle with Mesothelioma; a form of cancer of the lungs caused by Asbestos.
During this time a local charity - HASAG (Hampshire Asbestos Support and Awareness Group) offered their assistance in providing support to Malcom, in relation to ensuring appropriate care during his illness and also guidance and information required for the practical side such as benefits & legalities. Without the information provided by HASAG our family would have remained ignorant about Asbestososis, the support available and the avenues to take in terms of seeking compensation as a victim of this dreadful industrial disease.
As a 'Thank You' to HASAG for all their help, Malcolm requested any monies raised, go straight to them.
As a group, we are looking to do this by attempting the physically arduous Three Peak Challenge; climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 48hrs!
We will be walking over 22miles off road and on heavy terrain, reaching an overall climbing height of 11,178ft which equates to half of Mount Everest!
Over a (hopefully) sunny bank holiday weekend, 24th-27th May, the ten of us will don our climbing gear and set off to the Scottish boarders! Wish us luck!!!
The 'HASAG hikers' team is made up of the following:
Emma Clarke
Ross Clarke
Simon Edwards
Gemma Harris
Nathan Harris
Sophie Harris
Lee Homer
Mark Payne
Alan Roshier
Stephanie Roshier
Ashley Wardle
So peeps, get behind us, be supportive and please please PLEASE donate to this worthwhile cause, so they can continue to help families like ours. Thank you!! x
