Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Kirsty has recently lost a load of weight and was really keen to do a half marathon to celebrate her achievement (crazy I know).  I decided (stupidly) to support her and run with her.  We let the kids choose the charity we ran for and the SSPCA is close to our wee Sophie's heart, so we went with that.

The SSPCA rescue animals in danger, find pets new homes, investigate abuse and try to prevent cruelty through their free Prevention through Education programme for Scottish schools.  Donations are vital because they receive no government or lottery funding. So every little helps towards the vital work they do to protect animals in Scotland.

Kirsty and I would like to thank you so much for the support.

About the charity

The Scottish SPCA is Scotland's leading animal welfare charity. The Scottish SPCA is entirely separate from the RSPCA which works only in England and Wales. With no Government or lottery funding, the Society relies on the generosity of the Scottish public through donations, legacies and fundraising events.
