We fund doctors to cure blindness in developing countries

Story

During the October holidays we will be going to Dembi Dollo in Ethiopia to visit the eye clinic set up in memory of our mum. Her charity, www.fionadolanfund.com , funds the clinic and teams of eye Doctors to go out to the clinic and do lots of cataract operations (often 150+ at a time) People come from hundreds of miles away and often come in blind and are can walk out able to see again. Each cataract operation costs £50 so we are trying to raise £200 to pay for an operation each.

We are going to do 5 everyday things blindfolded to experience what the blind people who come in to the clinic lived like before. The 5 things will include eating a meal, cycling, going to the toilet, playing the piano, buying something in a shop or playing goalball in the garden.

This is going to be an amazing and exciting experience. Please help us support the great work of our mums charity. Thank you very much.
